The award for top boat overall at Mallorca’s showcase 39 Copa del Rey MAPFRE goes to the durable Spanish partnership of owner Javier Banderas and skipper Daniel Cuevas.

There is great excitement around the RCNP this morning as their Finn bronze medalist, Joan Cadrona, who is the first Olympic sailor from the home club to win a medal, returned to his hime club this morning and met the Spanish Royal Family led by King Felipe who of course is steering AIFOS 500. The warmth of the welcome, as you would expect, was massive and there was a long, standing ovation for the 23 year old who is from Mahon, Menorca originally but who trained from and has raced for the RCNP since he was young.
